Mark & Sandie Marshall welcome you to our self-catering, 2 Bedroom village holiday rental, 'Bee Cottage', in Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche, in western France.

A bit of History!

We moved permanently to the beautiful Vendée region of France in 2000.

We had bought our present home in 1993, with a view to making the total renovation necessary into a retirement project.

Sadly (or not!) I was made redundant from my  job as a teacher in Lancashire in July, 1999, so I decided that 'Fate' was telling us to move to France a little earlier than planned. 

We are now in our 21st year!

In 2001, we discovered what is now our gorgeous terraced cottage, in our favourite village, Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche, (3km away). It was for sale and in need of total renovation. 

It was an outbuilding so had never been lived in, but we could see what a lovely place it could be, and the village is wonderful.

We have just finished totally refurbishing it, having successfully let it out, both short & long term, since 2003.
